Tom Dick and ....

Peter Roebuck, a columninst for the Express on Sunday, while describing the opinionatedness of the average Indian, proves his deep rooted knowledge of India. He talks about cricket, of course. I quote from memory.

"....cricket experts in India are many, about a billion. Every Tom, Dick and Soumitra has an opinion on the exclusion of....."

Interesting that he chose Soumitra as a representative Indian name. I wonder why I personally don't know any Soumitra's. Do you?
